We got on the plane ok.

On the flight from Dal to Charlotte, we sat behind a marketing rep from Texas Instruments. She (as well as many other passengers) were heading to Lowes Motor Speedway. So she’s the first Azucena bragged to today and not the last.

We got here ok, but it is soaked. Raining all day. 40% again tomorrow. Should be ok on Fri and Saturday.

Lowes speedway is no Texas speedway. You have to know the exit to take, as there are no signs that say “Speedway, Next Exit”. After you take the exit, there is a sign that says Speedway --> (You'll see better signs if you are coming from the north)

For the campgrounds. No signs point us to where to go. We drove around for about 45 minutes looking for the location. Asking various people only netted us some information but something got lost in the translation to the exact direction. Anyway, we finally found it. It only we took a Left into the parking lot instead of a Right, we would have dropped off the RV 45 minutes earlier. Oh wells.

We are staying at a pre-booked hotel tonight, then at the campgrounds the rest of the time. The receptionist is a big fan (Dale, Jr.) and is even bigger after Azucena’s bragging.

We got an updated itinerary for the rest of the week. All events that I “have” to attend, Azucena will be there as well, which is good. She’s going to be taking lots of pictures and bragging away.

It’s been pretty fun so far. We are starting to wind down from all the made up excitement we are having and ready for a big CRASH landing in bed. By the way, Azucena took a long time shutting down last night. Kept acting like it was Christmas eve and we were going to open presents the next morning. Close, but that will be Saturday.
