Well, several of you know my dad is in town. Came in on the 8:30 Amtrak from Chicago, from Cincinnati (Ohio). Anyway, we spent too many hours last night at Jeff's playing Texas hold-em. Jeff took off, then I started catching up at Jeff's expense, but Sue was holding her own fairly well. Then Anna took over for Sue and didn't know what the heck she was doing but ended up raking in some money (Remind anyone of a certain 14 year old a few years back? Jim? Was her name Heather?). I think we played until about 1:30. Jeff lost some of the money Anna made (she left to get her beauty rest). We took dad's money, but I think it was his way of kind of paying for services while he's here. He's in pretty good shape considering. He doesn't have a whole lot of stamina, though. Like, he can go golfing, but he makes us take a cart. But then, the golf course makes us take a cart.
Hello Johnny. Sorry we won't be seeing you at tomorrow's picnic, but maybe we can get together again later for more fun and games.
Oh, about forgot. Went to see Ceci sing last night at Joe's Generic again (www.joebates.com/joes.htm). She'll be there Monday night at 10pm. Jeff and Sue came along, and so did dadiyo. I heard a few new tunes and Jeff's still trying to figure out what Te-ni-Nee-ni-nu means. Now, if we can just remember to bring the ear plugs. Missed seeing Raul, but Johnny was there. Intently listening to the music, or was it that her voice hypnotized him, couldn't tell.
