Since I’m sure you want to stay in the loop, Azucena has been accepted to teach 6th grade math at Taylor ISD (Go Fighting Ducks)

The job opened up just last week. She thought she was applying for 8th grade or higher (her certification is for 8th on up), otherwise she may not have applied. Now she needs to take a 4 – 8 grade certification test and pass. 6th grade does fractions and she loves fractions.

She was impressed about the quality of the school and technology they are using. They use electronic whiteboards where she can be anywhere in the room and write on the board. One teacher was out sick and “recorded” her assignment for the substitute who played it and then walked the room, not having to do much teaching.

Anyway, she’s excited about starting and it’s only about 20 minutes from home with no traffic. I guess I’m excited too. Woo Hoo. See. I’m excited.
