We'll start with the flu.
As everyone knows, the H1N1 flu is pretty rampant. Enough so that the US and other countries quit counting after 1 million were diagnosed. School is a big nesting ground for the flu and sure enough, Azucena's students came down with it. She finally got it this past Friday, with 103 temp. Since she didn't want to fry her brain, we went to the emergency and confirmed it was the flu without even testing.
So I thought I'd follow up with my own case of the Flu on Monday. Only I got tested and they found nothing, but they played it safe and gave me the same meds as Azucena.
Big game on Saturday. OU and UT. Are you ready for it?
Rain. Lots of rain. Probably 6 inches in the past 2 weeks. I don't mind the rain, I just don't like the snails that come out when the rain comes this much. I can't walk to the mailbox without hearing a bunch of crunching underneath, and I know it ain't nuts or acorns. Then they get in the dog's fooddish, waterdish, on the doors, door jams, you name it, they find a way to get there.
The snails aren't the only problem. Because of the dry spell, we ain't got no grass in the front. None. Nada. Not sure what happened since I put down fertilizer in March and watered every week. But the only thing green is weeds.
Well, gotta go. Watching some french movie with english subtitles, "Le Chevre" (The Goat). Getting to the part where I need to start paying attention.
