2009 went out in style for the us in Round Rock:

• Brother and family from New Jersey came down for the New Year celebration.
• Dad from Ohio came down to watch Ohio State and UT on the big screen.
• Azucena had successful brain surgery, then got interviewed by St. Davids for their brochure on the success of St. David's neurosurgery department, followed up by a wonderful photographer that took some pictures of her for the brochure, then of us for our enjoyment (Kory Howell).
• Azucena and I getting to attend the NASCAR awards ceremony that was opened to the public for the first time.
• Azucena getting laid off (not going out in style, but hang tight).
• Azucena getting hired as a teacher at Taylor Middle School for 6th grade math(see!!  laid off => teaching. If that ain't style, what is?). I'd say she's a wonderful teacher at that, but you won't believe me.
• Me scaring the kids (and adults) during halloween and taking their candy. It never gets old.
