New teenager in our life

You may or may not have read an earlier post that we are hosting a teenager from Brazil. Thiago just turned 16 and although it's only been 1 day, he seems to be adapting quite well.
We went to Taylor (two cities, 25 minutes) to sign him up for classes. Azucena teaches in Taylor, so she thought this would be best (she may regret this later, but for now, she's as excited as Thiago is). He is signed up for band and it looks like he will need to be at the old high school around 6:30 for band practice (that's dedication). After practice, then he gets a lift to the new high school to attend his normal classes. A few days of the week he will be staying late for additional band practice (and exhausting - he should sleep well). One by-product of being in the band is having to attend all the football games (not that this is a bad thing). Guess we'll be going to footbal games too. Oh well. But back to being in the band, with all the hours that he's having to put in, it doesn't seem to faze him at all. But it's only been one day. I'm sure that smile of his is not stuck, but if it isn't it may be a few weeks before we find out.
Oh, and the girls are already drooling and lining up to meet him. And that's just those in the band. I think Azucena will be able to straighten them out without any problems.
